The 7th annual SUNSET STRIP MUSIC FESTIVAL is quickly approaching and today festival organizers announced set times, which begin at 2:15 PM each day of the two-day music festival on Saturday, September 20 and Sunday, September 21. Bands will also be performing throughout the day and night at The Roxy and Whisky A Go-Go. SSMF features 70 bands, over 2 days, on 1 legendary strip! The two-day street festival will include three outdoor stages, interactive experiences, food, beverage and much more, transforming The Sunset Strip into the ultimate concert destination. Sunset Strip Music Festival Street Fest will take place on Sunset Blvd. between Doheny Drive and San Vicente Boulevard from 2:00 - 11:00 p.m. on Saturday and 2:00 - 10 p.m. on Sunday. Sunset Boulevard will be closed to vehicular traffic between Doheny Drive and San Vicente Boulevard from Saturday, September 20, 2014 at 3 a.m. until Monday, September 22, 2014 at 6 a.m.
The festival kicks off on Friday, September 19 at the House of Blues Sunset Strip with Jane's Addiction being honored with the 'Elmer Valentine Award.' This award celebrates the music and icons that have made an impact on the legacy of The Strip.
