Music Festival Helping Children in Need

Camping, music and a good time. Bluegrass in the Park is taking over Grand Caverns Park this weekend and its all for a good cause.

Thirteen bands will be playing throughout the festival.

Since taking over the festival four years ago, the Shenandoah Valley Shriners have donated the profits to the Shriner hospitals.

Last year, the festival raised $13,000 for the hospitals. Staff hope to raise even more this year.

'Our hospitals, it takes a $1 million a day to operate them and so we try to do our part to contribute to this so we can help these kids all throughout the United States,' said Jullian Fisher, the treasurer of the Shenandoah Valley Shriners.

The festival will run through Saturday night and tickets will available at the gate until the close of the festival.
