It's a beautiful day in the neighborhood for a look at festival lineups. Let's start with Life Is Beautiful, which returns to downtown Las Vegas Oct. 24-26.

After producing the largest independent showcase at SXSW, Brooklyn's The Most Definitely and San Francisco's Beautiful Buzzz have teamed up to curate the lineup for Escape Music Festival Oct. 11-12 at Brooklyn's Pier 9.
The Most Definitely and Beautiful Buzzz both run music blogs and produce live events, with Most Definitely focused on the early stage developed of indie artists and Beautiful Buzzz supporting up-and-coming artists 'on the cutting edge of indie pop, electronic and dance music.' The Most Definitely also runs a label.

Festival organizers promise that details about a 'food lineup that truly celebrates Brooklyn' is forthcoming, along with art installations and more surprises and unique experiences.

Speaking of 18+ events, Ultra Music Festival announced this week that when it returns to Miami in 2015 the fest will now have a minimum age policy.
Festival organizers released the following statement on UltraMusicFestival.com about the new 18-and-over policy.
'While we sincerely value the incredible ongoing support from our younger fans, we ultimately believe that Ultra Music Festival is a premium event geared towards adults. This decision has been made to reinforce and promote the safety of all Ultra Music Festival fans and to ensure the overall enjoyment of all future attendees. We are extremely grateful for all the support we have received from our younger fan base to date, and we encourage them to attend the festival once they reach the appropriate age. Until then, our free YouTube stream, 'ULTRA LIVE' is available worldwide for everyone, all ages to enjoy and to share in the Ultra experience.'
Former Miami Beach Police Chief, Ray Martinez, who has taken over the roll as Ultra Music Festival Security Director, also had a few words to say.
The first step to having fun is feeling safe,' Martinez said. 'We have chosen to adopt several new measures during next year's festival to ensure our event is safe and secure. The first step to preserving the unique atmosphere that Ultra is famous for is to be proactive in attracting the right crowd.'
In April Miami city commissioners voted to keep the festival in the city. The fest's status was up for debate after the 2014 edition resulted in more than 80 arrests and a security guard was trampled by gatecrashers.
The 2015 festival is scheduled March 27-29 at Miami's Bayfront Park.
