The Sourland Music Festival recently announced this year's music and attractions, which includes artists from around the central New Jersey area. The six acts on this year's bill will perform as part of the Music Festival at Hillsborough Golf and Country Club, 146 Wertsville Rd., in Hillsborough, on July 19, from 4 to 10 p.m., with a rain date of July 20.
Jazz singer Jo Wyman tops the bill this year, with the Matt O' Ree Band and Hunterdon County blues act CB Radio also in the lineup. Other artists on the bill this year include composer Dave Stryker, blues rockers Slackjaw, and singer/songwriter Norman Taylor.
Food and beverage this year will be provided by Small World Coffee serving Guatemalan Cold Brew & New Orleans Iced Coffee; and Nomads Pizza, delivering oven-fresh slices from a truck equipped with a wood burning stove.
A new attraction this year is sunset tethered balloon rides overlooking the Sourland Mountains. The cost for a ride will be $15.
'Wonderful music, high-quality food from local businesses, and balloon rides that showcase the majesty of the Sourland Mountains all come together to show the value and vibrancy of the region,' said Barton Thompson, event coordinator. 'It's going to be a tremendous amount of fun, and every ticket sold directly aids in protecting the rare beauty of the Sourlands.'
All proceeds go towards the Sourland Conservancy, with 100 percent of the ticket sales benefiting the not-for-profit organization's efforts in the region.
Tickets to the Sourland Music Festival are $20 online and $25 at the door. Tickets are $5 for children 12 and under, and free for children 7 and under. Bright, sunny weather is anticipated; guests are encouraged to bring lawn chairs, blankets, sun protection and sunglasses.
